Parents are asked to complete a registration form when their child joins the school. We need to ensure that we can contact you in the event of your child becoming ill or having an accident. Please make sure you advise us of any changes to your contact details, including your home address.

Our preferred method of communication with parents/carers is via ParentMail. We email all our letters to you directly thus saving time and money on photocopying costs. We also have the facility to text you if a school trip is due back late or if the school is closed due to snow, for example.

If you have not already signed up to ParentMail and would like to do so, please complete the form.

If your child is going to be absent from school in order to go to the dentist, optician or hospital, etc., please let us know by means of a note to the class teacher.

If your child is absent through illness, you should let us know by telephoning the school on the morning of absence and sending a note to the class teacher when the child returns to school.

Taking children out of class for annual holidays is highly undesirable as evidence shows that taking a child out of school during term time can hinder progress.

Absences for non-essential reasons, e.g. holidays, shopping, parties, theatre visits, etc., will be counted as unauthorised absence.

Please note that it is proven that any absence from school over two weeks in any year will have an effect on overall standards achieved.

Please come into the office to pick up an absence request form and return this with a letter if it is necessary for your child to be absent from school.
