Newsletter – 23rd February 2018

I had the pleasure of watching the creative dance festival this morning at Garon Park and our dance troupe performed absolutely brilliantly. All the dancers showed what hard work can achieve and their hours of practice certainly paid off. The only downside is that as I was videoing it my iPad shut down – so if anyone else watching has the full video, please send it our way!

We have been running the Conkers Breakfast and After School Clubs for 6 years now and there have been many changes during this time.  We are constantly striving to improve the service we provide to our families and would kindly ask if you could complete the short survey regarding the Conkers Clubs at the following link:

https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/3HRW5MP

The survey will run until Monday 5th March 2018, whereupon the responses will be collated and analysed.  We will provide you with a summary of the feedback before the start of the summer term.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback.

We will be celebrating World Book Day on 1st March 2018 with our theme ‘The Big Bedtime Story’. Ideas for dressing up were discussed with the Junior Governors and then class votes were taken. The outcome was that, instead of dressing up as their favourite book character, children can come to school in their pyjamas and bring their favourite bedtime story with them to share (far easier than finding another costume!). We look forward to sharing lots of bedtime stories on the day!

Sports news

We had a netball match against St Pierre this week and won 4-0. The team played beautifully, defended well and enjoyed themselves throughout. Top effort girls!

The boys are playing in the league at Greenways tonight – good luck!

PTA news

Hope you all had a wonderful half term and enjoyed the break. We are again selling discounted ride bands for Adventure Island and discounted tickets for Bounce Village, so if you are planning a visit please don’t forget to buy from us via the school offices or Coulson James Estate Agents on Leigh Broadway. Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote on our Facebook poll, we are pleased to announce that we will also now be selling discounted Marsh Farm tickets!
