Sports Relief Week – 17th – 23rd March 2018
We will be holding the following events in school next week so that the children can participate in Sports Relief Week.
After school on Monday children in the Year 5 & 6 netball team will play a match against some of the staff.
On Wednesday children in Year 3 & 4 can take part in ‘Beat the Goalie’ with Mr Linfield as the goalkeeper. This will run during both break and lunch time for lower school. If children would like to take part, there will be a 20p donation for each shot!
On Thursday children in Years 5 & 6 will have the same ‘Beat the Goalie’ opportunity during break and lunchtime, again with a 20p donation.
All donations will be given to Sports Relief. The money raised will help to tackle critical issues affecting people across the UK and the world. Since the last Sport Relief, the money raised has done incredible things, including:
- Treated over 900,000 people across Africa with anti-malarial drugs.
- Helped over 4 millionpeople in Africa through maternal, neonatal and child health funding.
- Helped more than 50,000 people, in the UK, living with a mental health problem.
Children will have the opportunity during the week to participate in class with games and on-line links related to Sports Relief.
Thank you for your continued support.
