Newsletter – 13th July 2018

It’s been another busy and exciting week with the world cup run going as far as it did! It was great to meet all of our new Year 2 parents as they move up to Year 3 and it was lovely to see so many people in school during open afternoon.

Our brilliant team of Eco-Warriors have been out and about on the beach this week lending a helping hand in reducing the amount of plastic waste that ends up in our oceans. They will be working on ways of reducing our plastic waste in school soon too so watch this space!

Mr Birkinshaw and Mr Smale have taken the girls out to a football tournament today so fingers crossed for some good results, I’m sure they’ll do us proud like they always do!

All our children’s artwork submitted for the Leigh Art Trail will be exhibited in the St Pierre end of term art exhibition.  The exhibition will take place on Saturday 14th July from 2pm – 5pm and they are hosting the competition entries for all our pupils.

Key Stage 2 results

Another strong set of results showing deserved reward for the hard work that the children have put in during their time with us in the Juniors. Scores going up again from last year and well above national averages again (2017 national average in brackets for 100+, 110+ and average scaled score). Well done to all the teachers and children and thank you for the support given by parents over the last four years!
