Children’s University Graduation – April 2019

I am pleased to confirm that we have an opportunity for pupils to attend the next Children’s University Graduation Ceremony; this is for all pupils who have achieved at least 30 hours from attending extra-curricular activities and these hours have been recorded in their passports.  The graduation will take place on the evening Thursday 4th April 2019; please find details of timing and venue below from Essex Children’s University.

Due to the volume of pupils that are eligible for graduation ceremonies across Southend, pupils will be able to attend graduations at the University for Bronze, Silver and Gold Award and then only the Gold at each subsequent level.  Bronze and Silver for these other levels can be awarded in our school assembly. Pupils will also only be able to attend one ceremony per academic year, so if they will achieve the next level by May it may be worth waiting for the next graduation.

If your child has achieved at least 30 hours through attending learning destinations and you would like them to attend this graduation, please could you complete the slip on the letter and return it to me by Friday 22nd March with their passport as I will need to verify their hours and give their details to the Children’s University coordinator at the Southend Campus.

Children’s University Graduation – 4th April 2019

Dear CU Learner Parent/Guardian

The next CU Graduation for our CU Learners will take place on Thursday 4th April 2019 at South Essex College and it is time for your student to hand their Passport to Learning in at school so that we can count the number of hours of learning your student has completed and let you know which CU Awards they will receive.

CU Graduation Arrangements

Please arrive at the College at 6pm.

The Ceremony will start at 6.30pm.

The evening will come to a close by 7.30pm latest.

Each CU Learner may bring 2 guests, as capacity is limited in the Lecture Theatre.

If your CU Learner is not able to attend the Graduation, we will arrange for Certificates to be presented to them in school once the Graduation has taken place.

Please remember to let us know whether you will be attending the CU Graduation Ceremony.

Getting there:
