Newsletter – 26th April 2019

Welcome back one and all, I hope you all had a cracking Easter break. We start our summer term with congratulations to Miss Turner who is now Mrs Weir after getting married during the holiday. Wonderful news to start a new term!

The start of the summer should, hopefully, see some warmer weather coming our way. With that in mind, please make sure your child has a water bottle that is clearly labelled with their name so that we can keep them all hydrated throughout the day when the glorious sunshine filled days arrive!

Pyjama/crazy hair day certainly got some of our children and teachers being very creative with their hairstyles in support of Little Havens Hospices and Mr Robinson will be carrying that on with a large blue wig when he runs the London marathon (again!) on Sunday – look out for him on TV.  If you’d like to sponsor him in support of Little Havens please click on the link.

Our Year 4 girls enjoyed their first taste of high school with a trip to Westcliff High School for Girls this week. They got to have a look around “big school” and see what life is like there ahead of when they reach Year 7 which seems like a long way away but comes around all too quickly!

Our cross country runners are in action today taking on the challenging Hadleigh Country Park track in the Essex finals – good luck team!

Slightly less exciting but still useful information is that there will be a change to how debit and credit card payments made to the school via SIMs Pay will appear on your bank statements. The only change you’ll notice is that you will now see Pay360ChalkwellHallJuniorSchool instead of CAPITAChalkwellHallJuniorSchool so don’t panic when you see a new title.
