Music lessons are available for keyboard, guitar, ukulele, trumpet, trombone, and music theory. Registration for this half term is now open, with lessons due to begin on the 16th September 2019.
Group lessons run for half an hour and cost £5 each. These are ideal for casual learners or beginners, or as an extra musical activity for those already receiving lessons outside of school.
One to one tuition costs £17 per 30-minute lesson. This is a better option for those who wish to take their instrument more seriously and can include the option of working towards graded exams.
Tuition is booked upfront on a half termly basis, with five lessons typically offered in that time.
All lessons take part during school hours.
Taking up an instrument can provide a pathway to perform in orchestra, with live performances throughout the year in venues such as the Palace Theatre and Cliffs Pavilion. If your child is already having music lessons outside of school but is interested in joining orchestra, please do get in touch.
Students must be prepared to commit to regular practice at home and must remember to bring their learning materials to every lesson.
With the exception of keyboards, instruments are available for hire on request from the school.
