In order to enhance our learning in Year 4 this term we will be visiting the Sea Life Adventure in Southend on Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th December 2019. This trip will enrich our topic, ‘What makes me incredible?’ by giving children the chance to see in real life some of the incredible aquatic animals we will be studying and writing about. During the day, the children will also have a talk about how the staff care for the animals there.
Two classes will be going on each day as listed below:
Tuesday 3rd December 2019 – 4TF and 4SR
Wednesday 4th December 2019 – 4GW and 4AB
On the day of your child’s visit, they will need to come to school as normal. The visits will take place during school hours, but your child will need to bring a packed lunch with them on the day. If your child is eligible for free school meals, you can request a packed lunch on by returning the slip on the letter. Children will need to wear school uniform and have suitable outerwear for the weather. We will be travelling to and from the venue by train.
We will need parental assistance with these trips, so please indicate on the reply slip if you would like to assist.
When organising school activities which will enrich the curriculum experience of the children, the school invites parents to contribute towards the cost. All contributions are voluntary, and unfortunately if we do not receive sufficient contributions, we will have to cancel this visit. The cost of the trip is £10. Payment will need to be made through the school’s on-line payment system, SIMs Pay. If you haven’t registered, please contact the school office regarding registration instructions.
Please return the reply slip to your child’s class teacher by 30th November 2019. If you are unable to contribute financially please inform your child’s teacher by letter.
