Year 5 Visit to Braintree Museum

To immerse ourselves into a Victorian way of life, Year 5 will be visiting Braintree District Museum where the children will be able to step back in time into a Victorian classroom and take part in activities involving many historical artefacts.

On the day of the trip we would really appreciated it if your child could dress as a Victorian. Please do not go to the expense of buying a costume, we will be discussing ideas in our classes so a DIY job would be fantastic!

5DS (apart from swimmers), 5LR and 5CF will be visiting on Thursday 12th March 2020.

5JT, 5JW and 5DS swimmers will be visiting on Friday 20th March 2020.

The cost of the trip is £16.00 and we ask that your child brings a packed lunch on the day. We will be leaving at 9.00am and will return in time for the end of the school day.  Payment for this trip should be made via the SIMs Pay on-line payment system.  If you have not set up an account yet, please see a member of the office staff who will provide you with an invitation code.  If you are unable to contribute financially, please inform your child’s teacher by letter as soon as possible.

When organising school activities that will enrich the curriculum experience of the children, the school invites parents to contribute towards the cost. All contributions are voluntary, however if we do not receive sufficient contributions, we will have to cancel this visit.

If your child is eligible for free school meals and requires a packed lunch provided by the school on 12th/20th March 2020, please indicate on the slip in the letter which has been sent home today.
