Please be aware that Conkers Breakfast and After School Clubs will run with reduced capacity from September 2020. We will be monitoring the situation closely and will inform families as soon as we are able to fully reopen the clubs.

Conkers Breakfast Club opened in January 2009, with the Conkers After School Club opening in September 2009. The clubs provide before and after school care for a number of children on a regular basis.
The number of children attending Conkers Clubs has risen steadily and both clubs are regularly fully booked.
The Breakfast and After School Clubs can now cater for up to 80 children and offer facilities and activities for 4 to 11 year olds.
The clubs have exclusive use of the school dining hall, the library and have access to the playground in fair weather, with outdoor play equipment and apparatus, as well as a wide range of indoor equipment and facilities.

Payment for the clubs can be made on line through SIMs Pay for parents of Junior children. Parents of Infant children will need to pay by cheque, made payable to Chalkwell Hall Junior School, or with cash.
Breakfast Club runs from 7.30am to 8.35am during term time and provides a choice of breakfast for the children which includes: toast with a variety of toppings, a variety of cereals and a drink.
The Breakfast Club follows a fairly structured yet flexible plan which provides an opportunity for children to socialise and play before school whilst also providing them with breakfast.
Children have access to a range of resources, including art and craft, construction toys, dressing up, board games, computer games and DVDs.
After School Club
The After School Club runs from 3.00pm to 6.00pm and provides a snack for children after school, choices are: toasted sandwiches with low fat cheese, crumpets, fruit bread, bagels and fruit and a drink.
The After School Club offers structured yet flexible play, with the opportunity for pupils to work on their homework if they wish to do so.
Many resources are available for the children, for example, arts and crafts, games, table tennis, Wii, DVDs, books, construction toys and cooking. Children are also able to play football and netball in the playground and play on the play equipment.
