Reading Ambassadors

Meet the Reading Ambassadors

The Reading Ambassadors meet every week, in our meetings we discuss different ways to promote a love of reading across the school. We share our ideas in our sessions and everyone’s ideas are valued equally. We have launched a ‘Book Tree’ competition to encourage classes to display how much their class love reading.

We have also encouraged children to use the ‘5 finger rule’ when choosing books, to make sure that they are just the right books for them. We led an assembly in upper and lower school and we spoke about the importance of reading. We talked about our favourite books and ran a quiz to find out how much everyone at school knows about reading.

We play an important role in developing the use of our school library; we also act as class librarians when our classes visit the library.

Without a doubt, the most important thing about being a Reading Ambassadors is we all love reading!
