At Chalkwell Hall Junior School, we pride ourselves on our sports provision and the extra-curricular opportunities we provide. Our objective is that we encourage all pupils to participate in regular physical education activity and lead healthy lifestyles. We support all staff so that there is increased confidence, knowledge and skills when teaching PE and Sport. Physical education and sport has a high profile across the school in the way we broaden the sporting opportunities and experiences available to all pupils.
The school receives just under £21,000 in funding which we use to promote and enhance our sporting offer in school. This year's development plan and sports premium spending focuses on:

- Ensuring high levels of participation through entry inti local sports (SPSSA) competitions.
- Promoting health and wellbeing by adding in the purchase of yoga lessons through Get Set for PE scheme.
- CPD for staff where training needs have been identified so teachers can broaden their knoweldge, confidence and understanding of PE.
